What Makes Work/Place Special?

If you are a small business, independent consultant, freelancer, nonprofit, or a working professional who works remotely, our co-working space in Oyster Point and Hampton offers you a well-designed and organized office environment in two great locations.

Our monthly coworking plans offer everything from a day-to-day hot desk for people who want to co-work on the fly to dedicated desks and private offices. Our all-inclusive spaces provide you the business amenities you need to help you be successful in your business. Memberships run daily, weekly, and monthly, are inexpensive, and depending on your membership level, offer you 24/7 access to the facility and use of the conference room.

All Work/Place memberships include utilities, janitorial services, high-speed business Internet and Wi-Fi, printer and fax machine use, kitchen and lounge, and access to an on-site community manager who can help you as needed.

Now that you know a little about us, let us tell you why co-working at our space is right for you.

  1. We’re Top Ranked. According to The Best 10 Shared Office Spaces in Newport News, VA, by Yelp we’re the number one recommended place to co-work in Newport News. Work/Place co-worker Kyle D. said we were “one of the best places you can be for your business!” He adds, “If you’re a smaller business or nonprofit like we are but still need an office on a tight budget, Work/Place is the perfect place! It’s truly the best decision we’ve made so far!”
  2. We’re in the Heart of Town. As we alluded to earlier, we’re in the Oyster Point, which is next to City Center, Newport News’ business district. Our Hampton location is just minutes away from Peninsula Town Center, an open air mixed-use development located in the Coliseum Central Business. In both locations, you’ll find cafes, restaurants, and boutiques. You can take your clients out to coffee or lunch and then bring them back to Work/Place for a meeting.
  3. Upscale Office Space. We have a modern office space featuring two-levels in Oyster Point and one level in Hampton, with beautiful architectural details such as natural lighting from many windows, stainless steel appliances, partitioned cubicles (Oyster Point only), and plenty of floor space for moving around. You’ll take pride in our space when you co-work here. Your professionalism will show when you invite clients to meet here or when you host events in our spaces.
  4. Friendly and Accessible Staff. We’re committed to making sure your day-to-day experience at Work/Place is welcoming. When you visit us for the first time for your facility tour, our Community Manager will greet you, show you the space, and help you decide which membership will best benefit your business. You’ll also get to see your fellow co-workers plugging away, socializing, or relaxing on one of the comfortable couches or chairs in our community lounge. As a member, our staff will ensure your needs are met as they arise and they will handle all communication with you by phone, email, or in person.
